Death Cleanup & Unattended Death Clean Up in Oak Ridge, TN

When someone dies in Oak Ridge, TN, who ends up cleaning up what is left after the body is taken away? Bio Solutions Tennessee can take the call, and our team of licensed professionals is trained to take on biohazards like blood and other bodily fluids that can carry disease. This might be from a vehicle accident, a homicide, or other situations. Unattended deaths are also a scenario that we deal with, which is when a body is discovered deceased days or even weeks after the person has passed on. In all of these cases, care must be taken. Our team wears personal protective gear that keeps them safe while they make the space safe for others to use.

The smell from a dead body might be the first thing that you notice, but then other issues reveal themselves. It might be the pool of blood from the victim of a homicide, or it might be other bodily fluids that have leaked out of the body during decomposition before the unattended death was discovered. These liquids must be handled carefully, and blood is particularly troublesome to clean, as it doesn’t respond to the usual cleaning methods people use for other spills. Our team is trained and certified to carry out blood cleanup, death cleanup, odor removal, and more.

Once we arrive at the scene, we assess the entire area so we understand the scope of the death and biohazard cleaning needed. It might be contained to a small area, but it could also span a much larger area if the person died while moving, or if there are multiple deceased people. We will cordon off the area, get the right tools and equipment, and then start cleaning and decontamination. All contaminated materials need to be properly disposed of, which does not involve the normal waste cycle.
